Water pressure
When you are deciding what style of taps you require, you need to determine the type of water heating system you have installed in your home.

Low pressure systems usually consist of a cold water storage tank in the loft and a hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard. This is also known as a 'gravity fed hot water system'.

High Pressure systems are usually fed through instantaneous gas water heaters or combi boilers.

With unvented systems hot water is stored in a large cylinder under pressure which has no requirement for a cold water storage tank.
