Pressure Equalising Valve
AquaLusso Showers require balanced water pressures that are between 1 and 3 bar with a flow rate of 7.5 litres per minute or greater. Since the showers offer body massage functions, and that most customers are looking for a near 'power shower' product, looking to provide as close to the 3 bar pressure is advisable.

Most household water systems fall into one of three types:

  • Combination (combi) boiler
  • Condensing boiler
  • Gravity Fed

Where you have a combi boiler the water pressures must be balanced using a Pressure Equalising Valve (PEV). This is a small device that fits between the hot and cold water supply feeds going to the shower and ensures that the water pressures are always the same.

If you have a gravity fed water system or your water pressures are low then installing a shower pump will be required.

ShowerGuard
ShowerGuard is a protection system that can be used to permanently protect your new shower. ShowerGuard will protect glass, ceramic (including glazed tiles), mirrors and acrylic from limescale, soapy deposit build ups and other deposits.

ShowerGuard forms a protective nano-barrier that does not mark or discolour. Simply, pre-clean the surface with the provided pre-clean solution, then apply ShowerGuards revolutionary protection coat. All you need, including latex gloves, are supplied in the kit.

Shower Guard does NOT mean no more cleaning, but it will mean NO MORE scrubbing to remove built up deposits of limescale and other contaminates - simply wipe and rinse to reveal its original beauty!

Monsoon Rain Shower
A drenching shower created by allowing gravity to pull the water from the shower head. There is no pressure behind this, just a lovely monsoon rain shower feeling. Monsoon heads come in two sizes depending on the model.

Multi function hand shower
Most showers have a hand shower on a riser bar, which enables you to rise and lower the height of the shower head. A few of the entry level models offer a fixed hand shower holster solution. The head can be rotated to change through several different shower jet options.

Body jets
Delivering adjustable jets of water straight to the parts of your body where you need it. Using your fingertip simply press the nozzle and point it to where you want the water to direct. Most showers have six body jets, some models have more. The twin room shower models come with two banks of jets.

Low voltage lighting
All the electrical parts of the shower operate at 12v for your safety. AquaLusso steam showers have overhead ceiling lights as well as LED lights. Combinations vary depending on the model. Some models also offer a ceiling ring light, whilst others are fitted with down lights.

Ozone cleaning
All the steam showers are fitted with an ozone (o3) cleaning device. In some models this is automatically activated after steam use, in others it is activated by pressing the smily face icon on the remote control or control panel. O3 sanitation is effective in combating: bacteria, odours, and allergens.

Electronic control pad
The control pad and remote control that comes with the steam showers gives you control over a number of functions such as radio on/off and tuning, lights, steam on/off, time, temperature and ozone sterilisation. There are several different types of control panel and these are specific to particular models.

Thermostatic shower valve
Every shower has a thermostatic shower valve. The thermostat allows you to mix and control the water temperature to what you require and features a safety lock at 38-degrees. Pushing the lug/button on the dial allows you to take the temperature past the 30-degree safety point, which is ideal for filling baths.

Steam generator
A 3kw steam generator is standard on all steam models. You have control over the time you wish to steam as well as the temperature the cabin will maintain. The steamer will start and stop as required until the time is complete.

Shelf
Most of the showers have a convenient shelf to enable the safe and handy storage of shampoos and gels. Some shelves have a built-in towel rail - handy for keeping a towel at hand when you use the steam function.

Water Requirements

Electrical Requirements
AquaLusso Steam Showers need to be connected to the household main electricity rated at 13 amps.

The steam showers with whirlpool baths require a second 13 amp connection for the whirlpool system.

The showers are delivered with a plug pre-fitted as well as an RCD (Residual Current Device). The plug is used only for testing, and should be removed to enable the shower to be fitted to the house mains via an isolated fused spur. The RCD may be removed, but only if the product is otherwise protected by a similar device.

Waste Requirements
All showers, steam showers and whirlpools are supplied with a long flexible waste hose. This connects the waste from the plug to the waste outlet in the property. It is long and flexible to enable the shower to be freestanding and thus be slid away from the wall to allow access behind for servicing.

The waste will require the additional purchase of a reduced straight coupling waste and a trap.
